Simfy music streaming service wanted to create an experience to attract more subscribers. Our solution allowed users to play against other users currently playing the game, to see who could hold the “record” the longest. The winner would get a year subscription of Simfy.
Playing a game most of the 90’s teenagers would be familiar with, where you would place a hand on the car and the person who keeps their hand there the longest, wins the car.
In our initial tests we found some people would try and cheat by placing something on the screen in order to win. In order to prevent people from cheating, we came up with a validation mechanism that randomly asks the user to scratch the vinyl.
